TPV COMPOUND Sustainability Plan

TPV Compound has started a path of organizational evolution towards a structured perspective on issues relating to “Sustainability”.

Our work must always be respectful of the environment and the territory that hosts us, as well as always placing the person at the center.

With a dual objective:

  • promote business processes that explicitly include environmental, social and governance dimensions, alongside economic ones;
  • facilitate widespread transmission of these topics within the organization;

This approach promotes that organizational maturation essential for the effective transition towards a business model increasingly in line with the current and evolving context.

People and policies for
worker health and safety

TPV Compound has developed its own Code of Ethics inspired by the main national and international regulations and guidelines on corporate social responsibility, corporate governance, human rights and environmental protection. We pursue continuous improvement of our Safety, Health and Environment performance through objectives that are defined, monitored and periodically reviewed, including the reduction in the number of accidents, the number of meetings and periodic inspections, the number of investigations into near-misses.

Product

Our production of PVC compounds follows two specific guidelines:

  • research into new formulations to make the product increasingly sustainable in terms of consumer safety and eco-compatibility

  • research into characteristics that are increasingly suitable for the transformation process and the development of new processes and products capable of anticipating and conforming to the demands of the market and end consumers.

Water Responsible Management

TPV Compound also has a maintenance plan in place with scheduled frequency to: constantly monitor the operation of the system for emptying the first rain water collection tanks; ensure systematic cleaning and remediation of the collection tanks; empty the oil separators and wells in good time.

Circular Economy

To date, the most produced type of waste is packaging waste, mainly resulting from the opening and emptying of the packages containing the raw materials.

These residues are enclosed in polythene bags and stored in a dedicated area, to then be sent for recovery or incineration depending on their nature.

Energy

Several actions for a more efficient use of energy resources have been undertaken at company plants: replacement of traditional lighting devices in the plants with LED systems; energy optimization and reduction of losses in the compressed air distribution systems; replacement of some electric motor systems of the production machinery with more efficient solutions; construction of a cogeneration plant at the Argenta (FE) plant; Frosinone fixtures.

Sustainability Reports

One of the primary objectives of the TPV Compound is to contain the environmental impact of its activities. To this end, there is a constant commitment to compliance with all legal requirements regarding the environment. Our work is based on a Code of Business Conduct that brings together the principles and values of the entrepreneurial mission of TPV Compound.
